Album TrailerAbout the Release: This release is unique in that it was created by an electronica artist who developed his musical roots through study of contemporary classical music (such as Messiaen, Stockhausen, Xenakis, Reich, etc.) and migrated--through experimentation with electronic sounds--toward more popular styles of electronica (such as Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Amon Tobin, etc.).
About the Artist: Residing in Duluth, Minnesota, Ryan Rapsys began experimenting with electronic sounds while studying music theory & composition at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. This is the first official full length album by Ryan Rapsys, and it derives its style from a variety of influences, including drum'n'bass, ambient, downtempo, trance, idm and trip-hop. His approach to producing and mixing is much more connected to contemporary classical orchestration, however, rather than any of the various styles of electronica.
